Editorial Design: CCCB Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona & Katz editores, Book Series
Debates for reflexion
The Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona (CCCB) museum, in a partnership with Katz editores, created a book series devoted to cultural studies, sociology and the theory of culture. As one of the cultural landmarks of the city of Barcelona since its creation in 1994, the CCCB is distinguished for being a multidisciplinary center that promotes urban culture, and encourages debate, reflection and thought. Josep Ramoneda, its director, stresses that its uniqueness consists in «getting people to change their perspective on things». Tholön Kunst designed this series, creating the covers and the books. To that end, it merged Katz editores’s austere style with CCCB’s eclecticism, through a system that highlights the authors and their specially selected works.
